Dosta!-Congress Prize Ceremony on 30 October in Strasbourg
On 30 October the Dosta!-Congress Prize for Municipalities will be awarded for innovative municipal projects promoting Roma inclusion, combating discrimination against Roma, and raising awareness of Roma culture and rights. Three cities and regions will receive the prize in the framework of the 25th Congress Session in Strasbourg (29-31 October 2013).
The prize, established in 2007, rewards municipalities which are distinguished for their participatory and innovative work in combating anti-Gypsyism and promoting the inclusion of Roma in political and social life. Following the success of previous editions the Congress is once again partnering the Dosta! Campaign of the Council of Europe, which is also promoted through the European Alliance of Cities and Regions for Roma Inclusion. Every two years local and regional authorities throughout Europe have a unique chance to present innovative and creative initiatives, which effectively ensure the long-term inclusion of Roma.
